Happy New Year

Its nearly time to get back together at school.  I am looking forward to hearing all your news and welcoming some new children into nursery.

Bring along a photo or something to show us this week and we'll all have a chat about our Christmas holidays and those snowy days.

There should be some planning for the Spring term on the Nursery pages soon.  Its done but the site and my connection are not cooperating at the moment.

We are planning to take part in the RSPB Big School Birdwatch, starting on Monday, so have a look at the birds that are in your garden and get some practice at recognising them.  We've already got one expert, Jude, so he will help us out.

See you on Monday everyone.

Whatever Next

Funnybones and Scary Party kept us busy last week and we enjoyed Bonfire night stories too.  The woodwork bench was definitely a favourite and lots of children enjoyed using drills, hammers and saws. We have ideas for building a tree house and made a brilliant musical instrument for the tree. Please take a look.

Today we all joined in to tell the story Whatever Next, with children playing Baby and Mummy Bear, the owl and people on the aeroplane. Everyone helped with the sound effects, WHOOSHING up the chimney and landing with a BUMP.

Take a look at the photos on the screen in the conservatory, lots of rocket making.

Half Term and Halloween

Hello everyone

What have you all been doing this week? I'm guessing lots of Halloween parties and dressing up. Get blogging and let me know.

Catching up

Well the new children are well and truly finding their way around nursery now.  We've been busy with all our Nursery Rhyme activities and are brilliant at singing so many now.  We will soon be recording our best songs for the school radio station.

Last week we did lots of preparation for Diwali, learning the story of Rama and Sita which we loved, making Diwali lamps and making our own jewellery.

This week, Room on the Broom kept everyone fascinated with broomsticks, hats, bows and wands everywhere.
