Half Term homework

Sal was walking along the beach when she saw a beautiful green glass bottle that had been washed up on the shore.  She bent down and picked it up.  There was something inside it.  Sal pulled out the cork to see what it was...

Story challenge...

You challenge this half term is to write 100 words following on from this story opener...

 Who knew it would be such a strange day? It all started when the postman knocked on the door and handed me a big brown box... 

I wonder who can be the most inventive? Who can use different sentence openers? Or the most punctuation marks?

Gold Book 24th January

Well done to Thomas and Josh C for both being in Gold Book this week for their research into Australia. Thomas was so enthusiastic he continued his fact-finding at home (without being asked!) and Josh shared an interesting fact about the Aborigines with the rest of the class. Well done to both boys and I wonder who it will be next week?
